Module 3 - April 2026
For this module, we were tasked with creating a product for a client. I was assigned with my group to the Rijksmuseum, who wanted a way to modernize and personalize the information absorption about paintings. The main limiting factor is the fact that the client wanted it to be low tech or at least hidden tech. It was challenging to think of ideas that would both modernize while still being low tech, especially when trying to create a technological solution for the project criterion. Below are two ideas we presented (illustrations are my own).
A basket of tablets presented next to a painting, which you could take, scan, and get the information. Uses an e-ink display.
Binoculars, where if you looked through, the painting would be surrounded by extra information. Viewer scans personalizers at binoculars.
Ultimately we chose to go for the e-ink tablet idea, because it allowed for many viewers at once and was more intuitive to use.
